AIWW Conference 2019: five new Amsterdam Agreements
We are proud to announce five new Amsterdam Agreements during this lustrum edition of the AIWW Conference! Four of them were presented during the plenary closing of the conference:
- Smart Rooftops (RESILIO)
- Living Labs (AMS Institute and Waternet)
- River Based Management (NWP and OMVS)
- Smart Water Metering System (KIFFWA, Earth View and Resource Water Authority).
The fifth new Amsterdam Agreement ‘Narrative Based Innovations’ has been presented on Thursday 7 November, to strengthen the collaboration between the AIWW and VU Watersymposium. Also, the 2017 Amsterdam Agreement between Waternet and NYC-DEP has been extended and signed.

AIWW Conference 2019: day one
Participants from around the world gathered for Amsterdam International Water Week 2019 and made progress with their discussions and deliberations on the first full day of the Conference (Monday 4 November). An important day in the global water calendar, with high profile keynote speakers to inspire them, and an interactive Integrated Leaders Forum helping to shape the thinking of city, utility and industry representatives.

Future Water Leaders
The Future Water Leaders community is integrated in the organisational process of the Amsterdam International Water Week programme. At the Summit in 2018 they introduced the ‘Water Identity’ concept. The outcomes of the project have been presented last week at the conference. Also, we’re proud to announce the new youth ambassador, Eleanor Treadwell!
