Amsterdam International Water Web (AIWW, since 2011) is a global water leaders’ community, bridging the gap between today’s challenges and future needs. We see water as an enabler to accelerate resilient and sustainable development. This decade we focus on water as the starting point for implementing integrated solutions, making a substantial impact on SDG’s 2 (Zero Hunger), 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation), 9 Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure, 11 (Sustainable Cities & Communities) and 13 (Climate Action).
Themes
Themes help us to focus and strengthen. Our main theme for AIWW2021/2022 is ‘Blue Green Deals with Integrated Solutions’. To further deepen this main theme, we have set two cross-cutting topics (Finance and Smart Water) and these subthemes:
Clean Water and Ecosystem Restoration
Reuse, Recycle and Recover
Risk and Resilience
Community engagement and intersectoral collaboration
AIWW Communities
To make a true impact on our goals, aligned with the United Nations’ SDG’s, AIWW brings together leaders and experts from cities, industries and utilities and (applied) scientists to discuss integrated solutions, new paths and coalitions. We engage independent young water professionals from all over the world by actively involving Future Water Leaders in our community.
Programme Advisory Committee (PAC)
To set meaningful goals, themes and topics and offer relevant quality content, we rely on the high-quality submissions of water professionals all over the world, combined with the input from our respected Programme Advisory Committee (PAC) members.
