JessieLynnvanEgmond
“Sustainability and an impactful return on investment go well together”
Where would the Integrated Leaders Forum at Amsterdam International Water Week be without an inspirational moderator and host? This year, we have been so lucky to recruit Jessie-Lynn van Egmond for the role. Being a future water leader and an engineer-on-a-mission, we can’t think of a better candidate for AIWW2023.
Extended deadline for our Call for Abstracts & Workshops

Looking for an international stage for your ‘water work’? Be fast and submit your abstract or workshop before 30 July!

We are actively seeking proposals from members across all our Amsterdam International Water Web and Week communities, as we know it takes a village to build top-quality diversified content.

We invite researchers, project managers, innovators, implementers, governmental experts and water experts to submit an abstract of their work within the four subthemes:

  • Improving water quality
  • Resilient water systems
  • Circular solutions: Reuse, Recover and Recycle
  • Transitions in water, agro/food and energy

For each subtheme we are interested in:

  • New (technological) solutions in practice
  • Smart water solutions (digital)
  • Nature based solutions
  • Community engagement and stakeholder interaction
  • Policy measures and agreements
  • New ways for financing water projects

The topic should be relevant for cities, utilities, industries, and agro/food sector dealing with water in transition.

RoelofKruize
“With crises everywhere, the water transition is more urgent than ever before”
While AIWW2023’s programme is unfolding, we are meeting up with Roelof Kruize (former CEO of Waternet, Amsterdam and founding father of Amsterdam International Water Week) to reflect on Amsterdam International Water Week and nowadays’ water challenges. “It is of the highest importance to manage our water differently. Not only more sustainable and more economical, also more resilient. Besides, recovering resources from waste water and winning energy from water needs more attention. We have some hidden treasures here, that need more attention and action.”
