It’s that time of year: reflect & look forward

This November 1-5 AIWW2021 took place. We look back on a great week with impactful results:

AIWW-2021-12-15

During AIWW2021 we developed these Action Agendas, lead by the AWW chairs for Cities, Utilities and Industries. The Action Agendas are the concrete results of 17 roundtables, with each table addressed a global challenge, sharing individual insights and collaborating for sustainable solutions. Additionally, the AIWW Chairs have a video message for you:

Please help us taking these Action Agendas forward, ensuring gender inclusiveness across the entire process and drawing learnings from failure on the way.

Grab your popcorn and enjoy the movies!

We’ve now also uploaded all the recordings of our online and in-person sessions on our YouTube channel.

Looking forward

As we are looking back on a highly successful AIWW2021, we also take our take to think about our future as community and our next event, AIWW2023. For now, we’d like to conclude with our wish for the future: all we want for X-mas, are Blue-Green deals with Integrated Solutions!

Water Summit for Global Development 2022

Water is a basic human right and should be available to all. Water for food, water for hygiene and water for drinking. The less we have to worry about the availability, quality and cost of water the better human lives and human societies become.

The Water Summit for Global Development in Delft aims to promote water research that contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Join them on 15 March 2022 to discuss how multidisciplinary science, technology and innovation can improve access to water and how this can be achieved together.

About the programme

Wetskills stimulates young talents to join and integrate in the water & sustainability sector and to co-create fresh ideas (in teams) for real-life cases. The programme generates new intergenerational and international networks and a positive communication about water (at the World Expo).Since its start at the Shanghai 2010 World Expo, Wetskills Foundation organized 53 two-week Wetskills Challenge events (pressure-cooker program for young talents (both student and Young Professionals) with a passion for water, climate and sustainability) in 25 different countries worldwide. Over 1,000 alumni participants join the programme and formed diverse and inclusive teams of young international talents (more than 1000 Alumni participants) with different backgrounds. All teams co-created inspiring out-of-the-box ideas for more than 200 cases on a water, climate and sustainability, contributing to the SDGs and thus a better world.
