May 11, the Symposium in honor of the first bi-annual Willy Verstraete Award takes place in Ghent, Belgium. The Willy Verstraete award will be granted to the best innovation in the field of anaerobic technology for water and sludge treatment between 2017 and 2021. The deadline for application for the award is March 15th 2022.
The Willy Verstraete award is a prize in line with Professor Verstraete’s (former AIWW PAC member) ever creative scientific mind with an open eye for application. This prize awards the best contribution to innovation in the field of anaerobic technology for water and sludge treatment, the field that could not have excelled as it did without Professor Verstraete’s input and dedication.
This 2022 prize is covering the period of 2017 to 2021. Your submission can be a thesis, a report, a journal article, a patent, pilot plant results, a demonstration facility or any other contribution that advanced innovation within the discipline and couples science to innovation, with a touch of creativity and why not, an appreciation for wild ideas. Recognition by your peers is a great plus for your contribution.
