The Leading Utilities of the World (LUOW) network is set to participate in the forthcoming Amsterdam International Water Week, including using the high-profile event as an opportunity to mark expansion of the group with the inauguration of new members.
The LUOW brings together some of the world’s most forward-thinking water and wastewater utilities according to 14 distinct innovation areas.
New LUOW members were inaugurated during the 2017 edition of AIWW. Utilities joining then were Evides Waterbedrijf, Hamburg Wasser, HOFOR, New York City Department of Environmental Protection, and Scottish Water. Further members inaugurated during 2017 were Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority, Central Contra Costa Sanitary District, Environmental Services – The Regional Municipality of York, San Antonio Water System, and Watercare Services Limited.
This year’s LUOW inauguration event is part of the Leadership Programma and will be held on 4 November.
LUOW is an initiative of the Global Water Leaders Group, a non-profit organisation. Its aim is to help drive performance across the water and wastewater sector by recognising achievement, providing a network for sharing ideas, and inspiring others to improve.
